Why Do I Need an Invitation Letter to Kazakhstan?
For most tourists, Kazakhstan allows visa-free entry or online visa applications. However, travelers from several countries are still required to obtain a Letter of Invitation (LOI) in order to get a visa from a Kazakh embassy or consulate.
The LOI serves as an official confirmation of your visit from a registered Kazakh travel agency and is reviewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before a visa can be issued.
You will likely need an LOI if:
- Your nationality requires a visa to Kazakhstan
- You are applying for a visa with multiple entries or extended duration
- Your embassy specifically requests an LOI as part of the visa process
