Why Do I Need an Invitation Letter to Uzbekistan?
Although many nationalities can now enter Uzbekistan visa-free or with an e-visa, travelers from certain countries are still required to present a Letter of Invitation (LOI) when applying for a visa.
The LOI is issued by a licensed Uzbek travel agency and confirms your planned visit, helping authorities process your visa request. It is typically required by Uzbek embassies or consulates when a traveler applies from abroad.
You may need an LOI if:
- Your country is not on the visa-free or e-visa list
- You are applying for a multi-entry or long-stay tourist visa
- You are a citizen of a high-risk or restricted country
