Amirsoy Mountain Resort is the largest and most modern ski resort in Uzbekistan and all of Central Asia. Located in the picturesque Western Tien Shan mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amirsoy opened in 2019 and quickly gained international attention—Lonely Planet even described it as "Next Season's St. Moritz."
Situated just 65 km east of Tashkent, the resort is easily accessible—about a 90-minute drive from Tashkent International Airport.
The resort spans 900 hectares on the northern slopes of Maigashkan Mountain, part of the Chatkal Range. The ski area ranges from 1,630 to 2,275 meters in elevation, with beautifully maintained pistes and ample opportunities for freeride skiing.
As of 2022, Amirsoy boasts 28 kilometers of slopes, including runs suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. The infrastructure includes gondolas and chairlifts from Doppelmayr and Poma, snowmaking systems from TechnoAlpin, and snow groomers by PistenBully. The resort is also equipped with conveyors and adaptive skiing facilities for guests with disabilities.
Despite its moderate altitude, Amirsoy enjoys dry, powdery snow thanks to regular nighttime temperatures as low as –12°C. The quality of snow has even been compared to that of Japan by snow experts, offering an exceptional skiing experience in Central Asia.
The resort offers 38 alpine-style chalets, a full-service spa, two restaurants (serving Uzbek and European cuisine), and a multifunctional service center. Visitors also have access to ATV and snowmobile rentals, picnic zones, and a media center for photo and video services.
Amirsoy is not just a winter destination—its scenic location makes it a great spot for hiking, mountain biking, and summer relaxation. Whether you’re an extreme sports enthusiast or a family looking for a weekend getaway, Amirsoy offers activities for everyone.
