Culinary Experience

The Plov Center’s courtyard features massive kazans (cauldrons) where chefs prepare plov over firewood. These masters, known as oshpaz, can serve up to 1,000 people from a single pot.

The menu focuses almost entirely on plov, available with options like quail eggs, garlic, or horse sausage (kazy). Dishes are typically served with salads, non (bread), and green tea.

Visiting Tips

  • Opening Hours: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. The best time to visit is before noon to see the cooking process and avoid long queues.
  • Seating: The venue spans two spacious floors but can get very busy during lunch hours.
  • Getting There: Take the metro to Shahriston Station. The Plov Center is a short walk from there, next to the Tashkent TV Tower.

Cultural Significance

Plov is more than just a dish in Uzbekistan — it’s a cultural institution tied to weddings, holidays, and communal events. The Central Asian Plov Center brings this tradition to life, allowing guests to taste the spirit of Uzbek hospitality in every bite.
