Tashkent TV Tower is the tallest structure in Central Asia, reaching a height of 375 meters (1,230 feet). It is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Uzbekistan and offers a unique combination of engineering excellence and tourism appeal. Completed in 1985, the tower functions as a telecommunications hub and a popular sightseeing destination in the capital.

Construction began in 1978 to improve TV and radio broadcasting in Uzbekistan. Upon completion, it became the third tallest tower in the world after Toronto’s CN Tower and Moscow’s Ostankino Tower. Besides its technological role, the tower was designed to showcase modern architecture inspired by traditional Uzbek aesthetics.
The TV Tower stands on three massive legs built to withstand earthquakes, reflecting Tashkent's location in a seismic zone. The design includes national motifs and modern lines, symbolizing progress and heritage. At 97 meters, the observation deck provides a panoramic 360° view of Tashkent and its surroundings.
Location: North of Tashkent center, near the Japanese Garden and Tashkentland amusement park.
Opening Hours: Daily, 10:00 – 18:00
Entrance Fee: 15 USD (includes access to the observation deck)
The Tashkent TV Tower is more than a technical achievement — it’s a symbol of national pride and modernity. A visit offers a blend of scenic beauty, culture, and engineering marvel, making it a must-see on any Tashkent itinerary.
